Community Initiative

In 2019 the Edinburgh Monarchs Speedway Club is continuing to grow its community links and the Monarchs Fans Trust are delighted to help make this happen. As part of this we are looking to engage with clubs, groups and sports teams based in the local community to offer a  free evening out at one of our speedway matches in the 2019 season.

We are inviting 20 children from a club/group/team plus one adult per child along to one of our matches completely free of charge.  There has already been a fantastic uptake on the invitations that have been sent out to date, however there are still some dates available. If this free evening out interests you then please contact any committee member or send us an email to community@edinburghmonarchs.co.uk and we will be in touch to discuss the details. We look forward to welcoming your club/group/team along to sample some exciting speedway action!

Your free evening of speedway will consist of:

  • Arrive at the Stadium for 6:15pm
  • Guided tour of the Stadium including the Pits area
  • Meet a Monarchs rider
  • Introduction to speedway and a speedway bike
  • Free gift for every child
  • You will then be free to witness a thrilling evening of racing

Steven Lumsden introduces Livingston 2007s to Josh Pickering’s bike

This is the continuation of the initiative we ran last year where we received great feedback from all groups, one example was Livingston 2007s coach Neil Hunter who said “the kids were all buzzing at their game on Saturday and telling their teams mates how cool it was”.  The parents are already talking about coming back for hospitality later in the year.  That is what we are hoping for as we continue work closely with the club to promote Edinburgh speedway and get more people supporting the Staggs Bar Monarchs.
