Long time supporter and sponsor of the Monarchs, Staggs Bar, will host the Trust AGM in the function room. Please grab a drink from the bar and then head through to the function room at the rear of the building. Address is 81 North High Street, Musselburgh, EH21 6JE. From central Edinburgh take bus numbers 26,44, 106, 113 or 124 to the Brunton Theatre stop. The pub is 100m from the bus stop on the left-hand side of the theatre. There is also a large free car park on site.
The eleventh Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Monarchs Fans Trust will be held on Wednesday 26th November at Staggs Bar, 81 North High Street, Musselburgh, EH21 6JE. A massive thank you to Nigel and his team at Staggs for allowing us to use the function room. It will also be hosted online using MS Teams.
This year we would like to invite non-members to the AGM to inform people what we do, encourage more engagement, and increase membership. If you have an interest in the Edinburgh Monarchs and speedway in the east of Scotland and helping secure its future please CONTACT US for more information. We would love to hear any new perspectives and get more people involved.

The Monarchs Fans Trust are delighted to announce the winners of the 2025 Mega Prize Draw, which was made at the Monarch of the Season Dinner on Saturday 25th October.
A huge thank you goes to everyone who bought or sold tickets, to our generous sponsors for donating such fantastic prizes, and to all who helped make the draw a great success. Together, you’ve helped us raise vital funds to support Edinburgh Speedway — and kept our total donations well past the £200,000 milestone! 💙💛
On a brilliant night in the Village hotel team captain Paco Castagna drew the winning ticket for the first prize of £500. The winner was Ronnie Anderson, Ronnie immediately announced that he would donate the prize back to the club. A very generous gesture from a man who already does so much for the club.
The rest of the prizes were drawn after the conclusion of the awards part of the evening. Big thanks to Colin Cairney and Kyran Lyden for being independent observers and helping with the draw. Congratulations to all the winners, we will be in contact with you to arrange collection of your prize.

Since our inception in 2014, the Monarchs Fans Trust has played a vital role in keeping the sport we love on track. From essential funding to unshakable fan support, we’ve been there through the tight bends and high-speed straights. And now, it’s time to celebrate what we – the fans – have achieved together.
On the night, we’ll be handing out special flyers, sharing stories, and revving up the atmosphere as we look back on ten years of triumphs, challenges, and community spirit.
But this isn’t just about the past. It’s about powering into the next ten years – and we need your help to do it. Dave Harley, Secretary of the Monarchs Fans Trust, added: “It’s easy to forget just how close we came to losing this club. The Trust was born out of necessity, but it’s grown into a genuine force for good. We’re proud of what’s been achieved – but we’re not stopping here. If you care about the Monarchs and the future of speedway in Scotland, now’s the time to get involved.“
